Valley Cheer is a competitive recreational cheerleading gym in Huntingdon Valley, PA. We opened our gym doors in 2022 and it was immediately filled with athletes who became family. Valley Cheer began with 141 athletes and has grown to over 160 athletes in our second season. We have teams of all different levels for children ages 18 months to 18 years old. We compete locally and nationally throughout the season.

Our mission at Valley Cheer is to help each member grow as an athlete and a person, both inside and outside of our gym. We strive to be the best at inclusivity! We believe in building strong leadership characteristics in the lives of each cheerleader. We are always putting forth the best effort, respecting teammates and coaches, and leading by example. Our core values at Valley Cheer are family, integrity, loyalty, growth, and dedication.

Our Coaches

Our staff is made up of 24 coaches, 7 team moms, 2 social media content creators, 1 registration specialist, and 4 spirit committee & fundraising members. Each coach and staff member plays a huge role in why our teams and organization is so successful. The staff at Valley is hand selected for each team and position where we believe they will thrive the best. Our coaches and staff all volunteer and put their heart into the sport and all the children whether the athlete is on their team or another. Our staff is always going above and beyond for our gym and keep our family atmosphere going. Valley Cheer staff leads by example and understands how important it is to not only teach cheerleading to the athletes, but to make sure they also teach athletes to grow to be kind, coachable, and respectful leaders.

In 2022, founding owners Michelle Zul and Desiree Zolk took the leap to open their own gym after a combined 45 years of coaching experience and winning 11 National Championships together. Their gym is their family and that guiding principle is at the root of all of their success!
